CLINICAL SCAR THERAPY & ONCOLOGY RECOVERY | HILLSBOROUGH, SHEFFIELD S6
Expert Scar Therapy in Sheffield
Clinical Scar Tissue Release: Combining Hands-On Therapy with LymphaTouch® Technology
Whether you are recovering from a C-section, cancer surgery (including breast or thyroid procedures), cosmetic surgery (such as tummy tucks or breast reductions), or an orthopaedic joint replacement, you do not have to live with a scar that feels tight, painful, numb, or restrictive.
At our Hillsborough clinic (S6), led by specialist Physiotherapist Beki, we are Sheffield’s only provider of medical LymphaTouch® negative-pressure technology, combining advanced mechanical tissue release with gentle hands-on care. We work to release deep adhesions, soften radiotherapy-induced fibrosis, restore natural tissue glide, and help you feel comfortable in your skin again.

Sheffield's Only LymphaTouch® Clinic
CLINICAL EXCELLENCE IN SCAR REHABILITATION
Restoring Comfort, Movement & Tone
Gentle & Non-Invasive Mobilisation
Effective scar rehabilitation is never aggressive or painful. We use specialised, light-touch manual techniques that respect healing tissue, calming hypersensitive nerve endings, reducing puckering, and easing deep tightness without forceful friction.
Targeted LymphaTouch® Technology
Flex is Sheffield’s only clinic equipped with hospital-grade LymphaTouch® technology. By gently lifting tissue layers, this negative-pressure therapy stimulates lymphatic drainage, softens stubborn fibrosis, and restores healthy cellular glide without pain.
New & Mature Scars REcovery at any stage
Whether your scar is eight weeks old or several decades old, fascial tissue remains adaptable. We help soften dense, longstanding adhesions, ease chronic pulling or numbness, and restore functional mobility at any stage of your recovery.
COMPREHENSIVE SCAR CARE
Restoring Movement Beneath the Surface
Scar tissue does not just affect the skin surface. Deep surgical adhesions can bind underlying fascia, restrict joint mobility, and cause chronic pulling or numbness. Our specialised care restores healthy, comfortable tissue glide.
Common Symptoms We Treat:
-
Tightness, pulling, or restricted range of movement
-
Numbness, altered sensation, or hypersensitivity
-
Puckering, indentations, or tissue "overhang"
-
Post-surgical fluid retention and dense fibrosis
TREATMENT TIMELINE & RECOVERY
When Can Scar Therapy Begin?
A common question is whether it is too early or too late to seek treatment. While we always wait until your incision is completely closed and dry, connective tissue remains adaptable and responsive at every stage of your life.
STAGE 1: WEEKS 6-8
EARLY RECOVERY
& PREVENTION
Treatment can begin once your incision is fully closed, dry, and cleared by your consultant or GP. Early care stimulates lymphatic drainage, normalises nerve hypersensitivity, reduces swelling, and prevents dense adhesions before deep tethering sets in.
STAGE 2: 3–12 MONTHS
Active Remodelling & Softening
Throughout your first year, internal collagen fibres are actively remodelling. If your scar feels firm, corded, puckered, or restricts your joint movement, targeted LymphaTouch® and hands-on therapy help soften thickened fibrosis and restore healthy tissue glide.
STAGE 3: YEARS OR DECADES ON
Longstanding Adhesions
It is never too late to treat a scar. Fascial tissue remains biologically adaptable throughout life. Even if surgery was decades ago, specialised mobilisation can release established tightness, ease compensatory posture aches, and restore feeling to numb areas.

UNSURE WHERE TO START
Not Sure If You Are Ready for Group Classes Yet?
If you have recently given birth, had a complex delivery, or are experiencing symptoms like leaking, pelvic heaviness, or significant abdominal separation, starting in a group class might feel daunting.
We recommend booking an individual 1:1 Natal Check (Postnatal MOT) first. We will thoroughly assess your pelvic floor, abdominal wall, and scar tissue to ensure you are safe, supported, and confident before joining a class.
