New Classes
Tuesday
Tuesday 9:30am - Intermediate Pilates with Beki - suitable for those with a minimum of 12 weeks Pilates experience looking to progress their Pilates foundations. Starting 7th May 2024.
Friday
Friday 9:30am - Yoga with Sophie - suitable for absolute beginners and those who enjoy a restorative class. This class, brought to you by Yoga instructor Sophie works on your Yoga fundamentals. Starting 3rd May 2024.
Saturday
Saturday 9am - Body Conditioning with Sally - Would you like to start your weekend with a bit of a sweat? Body conditioning is a great way to work on your global muscle strength, with functional movements we complete on a day to day basis whilst pushing our cardiovascular fitness by getting a little bit out of breath. Starting 1st June 2024.
Current Class Changes
Excitingly Flex has been welcoming many of our clients back into the studio! This is amazing, being able to support you in person is exactly what us Physiotherapists love to do. Sadly, this does mean that our online live stream classes are now generally quieter. We have made the difficult decision to reduce our online timetable due to the increased demand for our studio classes.
Therefore Flex will now only offer online Pilates on a Wednesday evening at 6pm with Carmel.

Monday
Monday 6pm - Beginners with Sandie - Starting 3rd June 2024
Monday 7pm - Studio Improvers with Sandie - this class is suitable for those with 8-12 weeks Pilates experience. Starting 3rd June 2024
Wednesday
Wednesday 9:30am - Low Impact with Katie (Beki can be found on Tuesday mornings now) - Katie has been helping Flex with class cover over the last year and we are extremely pleased to welcome her to our team. As a Physiotherapist with a dancing background you will be well looked after! Starting 1st May 2024.
Thursday
Thursday 9:30am will now become a Mixed Ability studio class - Suitable for anyone with 12 weeks Pilates experience and beyond. Starting 30th May 2024.
Thursday 10:30am - Rehabilitation Class - suitable for absolute beginners and those requiring extra support within the class. Such as balance aids, exercise alternatives or chair based Pilates. This is to ensure all of our clients can be supported whatever the level and be accompanied by others in a similar position. Starting 30th May 2024.
Thursday evenings - Mixed Ability class with Sandie - this will be moving to a new time of 6:30pm instead of 6:45pm. Starting 30th May 2024.
We appreciate that this is quite a few changes and could be a little confusing in the early stages. If you are unsure at any point please check the timetable on your TeamUp account or on our website which will be kept up to date.
Upgrading your Membership
With all these new additions to the timetable, this could be the ideal time for you to upgrade your membership to two or more classes a week! Upgrading your membership will not affect your cancellation/minimum term period.

Barre is a style of Pilates which is derived from Ballet. This is a fantastic workshop which works the core and body in a challenging way to a quicker beat than our modified/clinical Pilates does.

Yoga
With yoga having a new regular space on our timetable, this is an opportunity to find out more about Yoga. Explore body movement, breath, mindfulness and spiritualism with new Yoga instructor Sophie.

Pilates for Runners
No matter your running ability, if you are looking to take up running, prevent injury or improve your running PB, Pilates will help.

If you are wondering about what all the hype is about for men to do Pilates now, this is the workshop for you. This men’s only session will look at ways to connect with your core in a candid way, why Pilates is useful for you not only in movement and performance, but for your mind too.

Finally I want to offer a huge thank you to our wonderful instructor Laura. She has the most amazing opportunity to progress her passion of Women’s Health Physiotherapy in the NHS, and has decided time to focus on this, means saying goodbye to Flex for a ‘wee while’. Do not fear, she will hopefully be able to do some class cover for us. At Flex we are sad to see her move on as a regular instructor here, but I am not alone in saying that she will be amazing in her new role!
