Happy Easter from Flex Pilates and Physiotherapy!
Gosh did we just get back from the festive period, blinked and then Easter has arrived? It’s been an extremely busy few months here at Flex and we would not be here without our amazing clients. A personal thank you from myself for investing in your health and well-being by coming to our Pilates classes.
We recently enjoyed our first Flex Social at the studio, thank you for coming. I had a blast and I hope to plan another event in the near future!
Pilates Timetable
As our classes are getting more and more popular in the studio and more classes are added to the timetable, I ask you to please use the classes booking system to it’s full potential.
You can book your classes up to 4 weeks in advance, if a class is fully booked please use the waiting list. When classes have been fully booked, cancellations have been made making space for those on the waiting list. When there is a cancellation an email is sent out straight away to the waiting list offering you the space in order. You then have 90 minutes to accept the cancellation space before it is passed onto the next person to book. Any questions regarding this please let me know.
I am so pleased to see the studio so busy! It’s an amazing space and we are continuing to grow with the hope of more classes on the timetable coming in the near future.
Pilates for Cyclists Workshop
Join Sandie for a workshop specifically aimed at cyclists!
Saturday 13th April 9:30-11:30am, Flex Pilates and Physiotherapy, Middlewood Road, S6 1TH.
Whether you are a novice cyclist, or if you have been cycling for years, this workshop is perfect for you.
Pilates exercises have been used to specifically improve the skill, strength and performance of cyclists. Exercises improve core and pelvic control which improves efficiency and performance; a strong trunk means extra power output through the legs. It improves mobility and flexibility to increase comfort and efficiency on the bike and helps balance the issues of muscle shortening that can occur with long rides. More comfort means more enjoyable bike rides. The exercises can also lessen the risk of injury, and are great to aid post ride recovery, getting you back out in the saddle more quickly.
We will cover theory, common injuries, bike set up and exercises which would benefit cycling technique/strength. Exercises will specifically cover upper and mid back strength, hip and leg strength, core strength and stretches to improve flexibility.
Pilates will help improve your endurance, strength and flexibility.
The workshop will be 2 hours in length, places are limited for the popular workshop and at just £25 (non-member price) for all your expert knowledge and exercises to take home and do, to improve your cycling book via the link to secure your space.
For our fantastic members at the studio this workshop is just £20.
Easter Holiday at the Studio
This is a gentle reminder that the studio closes for a week at Easter as per the studio terms and conditions.
Our last class in the studio will be 6:45pm Thursday 28th March.
Classes will resume on Monday 8th April at 9:30am.
Don’t forget you have the on-demand classes available to load up via your Team Up app. There are many pre-recorded classes on here that you can access from Pilates, healthy HIIT and yoga. Head to the ‘On Demand’ section in the drop down menu on your Team Up profile and sign up to the platform.
